Tagging people in your photos is necessary when you want to offer quick and easy searching to shoppers. Below is a quick overview of the different ways to perform the tagging work.
1. Tagging by filename (before upload)
When using this method, the filenames of the images you upload will automatically be used to make them searchable. This method is useful if you feel more comfortable renaming your files on your computer before uploading them. See Tagging photos by filename for more details on how to use this method.
2. Tagging by spreadsheet import (after upload)
When using this method the numbers are tagged after the images have been uploaded. This method is useful if you feel more comfortable using a spreadsheet to capture your photo tags after the photos have been uploaded. See Tagging photos by spreadsheet import for details on how to make use of this method.
3. Automatically identify race numbers
For race events with number boards or bibs, it is possible to automatically detect race numbers from the images as they are being uploaded. This is useful way to quickly identify photos of large events with many participants.
This feature is optional and will only be enabled if it was selected when the event was created. All photos for the event will automatically be tagged as they are being uploaded.
To make use of this feature, please select the race no identification event type , see Automatically identify race numbers in images for more information.
4. Automatically identify faces
It is possible to instantly tag the people in your photos with minimal effort using our face identification feature. This allows customers to quickly find all their photos with our easy to use selfie search option showing only the photos that match the picture they provide.
This feature is optional and will only be enabled if it was selected when the event was created. All photos for the event will automatically be tagged as they are being uploaded.
Please note that face identification works best when participants' faces are clearly visible and not wearing sunglasses, visors or masks.
Please see Automatically identify people in photos for more information.
