You can set how your file uploads should be processed per event. The option can be set when the event is created under the "advanced settings" section. It can also be changed after the event is created by going to the event' setting's tab. All new uploads will follow the setting you have prescribed for the event.
This following section explains the different file upload modes available.
1. Classic Mode
Ideal for small events up to 1500 photos, this mode allows you to upload images one at a time through our tried and tested web interface. The photo tagging methods supported in classic mode are:
- Filename - tag photos using the upload filenames
- Spreadsheet - imports tags from a spreadsheet
- Race Number Recognition - automatically identify people wearing race or bib numbers
The maximum file size for classic mode is 15MB.
2. Turbo Mode
Ideal for small and large events, this mode allows you to upload multiple images simultaneously in bulk using our advanced upload interface. The web interface provides more information regarding the file upload progress and offers ways to optimise your time with features like:
- pause your upload if you need to continue another time
- retry specific files in the event of an error instead of uploading them again
The image processing used in turbo mode is much faster that classic mode and supports the use of face identification (optional). Smaller thumbnails and modern image formats ensures lightning fast photo galleries for a fast, seamless viewing experience.
The maximum file size for turbo mode is 10MB.
