Events and albums are two basic building blocks of the platform. Below is an overview highlighting the difference between them.
Events
An event can be compared to a folder. Once an event is created, images can be uploaded to it. It is meant to separate images of one event from another. Events have the following capabilities:
- Set ordering status: open or closed for ordering
- Set customer pricing
- Create albums
- Set availability (public or private)
- See sales statistics
- Set public notice
Albums
Albums are an optional feature that exists under an event. They can be used to subdivide an event similar to how subfolders work. The purpose of albums is to organise images within an event. This helps customers find the images they are looking for quickly. Albums do not have the same capabilities mentioned above of events.
