Tagging of photos is necessary when you want to enable searching for an event. There are several ways to perform the tagging work, but only one can be selected per an event.
1. Tagging by filename (before upload)
When using this method, the filenames of the images you upload will automatically be used to make them searchable. This method is useful if you feel more comfortable renaming your files on your computer before uploading them. See Tagging photos by filename for more details on how to use this method.
2. Tagging by spreadsheet import (after upload)
When using this method the numbers are tagged after the images have been uploaded. This method is useful if you feel more comfortable using a spreadsheet to capture your photo tags after the photos have been uploaded. See Tagging photos by spreadsheet import for details on how to make use of this method.
3. Automatically identify race numbers
For race events with number boards or bibs, it is possible to automatically detect race numbers from the images as they are being uploaded. This is useful way to quickly identify photos of large events with many participants. A special type of event is needed to use this feature, see Automatically identify race numbers in images for more information.
